Easiest medical rerence I have ever used
This is the most practical, easiest to use reference I have ever seen.For a general practitioner, the alphabetical listing of the diseases makes it very easy to find what you are looking for.The bullet format of the signs and systoms makes for quick reading.Lab studies, differential diagnosis, drug of choice and alternative drugs with coding to boot all on just two pages cannot be beat.5-Minute consult says it all.

Very Practical
Looking up the diseases and starting the work-up are a snap with this book. Not as comprehensive as Harrison's, but very handy in a busy practice. Diseases are listed in alphabetical order with easy to find signs and symptoms, prevalence and differential diagnosis. Especially helpful are the labs and special procedure sections (e.g. radiology) for each disease. Also helpful are the coding (ICD-9) sections. ... Read more

Difficult book to use
This book and its predecessor are difficult to use.While the information may be good, this book requires a lot of flipping back and forth between pages.The CDs are really, really bad.The persons posing as doctors are poor readers.It's obvious they're reading scripts from the sound of turning pages heard.These persons affect poor accents...one female tried to sound Scottish and kept saying "fart" for "for".One male, who reads as if, at best, he has an 8th grade education with a 5th grade reading level (he doesn't understand commas and periods), is really bad to listen to when he tries to sound Hispanic.Loud crunching sounds and cocaine sniffs by one male and the above-mentioned female sound like delinquent hogs at slop.The very worst thing about the CD and text, however, is in the fact that terminology is not only not found in the text, it isn't found in Taber's, Mosby's, or Stedman's dictionaries, nor in the Merck Manual.I wouldn't recommend purchase unless, like me, you are required to purchase these for a class. I know doctors can be extremely aggravating, but no more so than the "doctors" on the CD and this text!

IT IS WORTH IT!
I recently purchased Essential Math and Calculations for Pharmmacy Technicians by author, Moini. It definetly is a great choice! It is very easy to comprehend and full of useful information. I have purchased a few books by Dr. Moini, and have been pleased with all of them. But this one is by far his best! Awesome book! If you're in the Pharmacy field, I highly recommend this book as a great tool toward success! It is worth it.

Great book for testing knowledge
I used this book to study for my CNA exam.As an EMT-B from the Air Force, we are able to do a lot more than a CNA.In studying for this test, this book allowed me to understand and study for my CNA successfully.I had this book in addition to another one on skills.I aced my test thanks to this book!!I think this book was essential in helping me pass my test.
Very Helpful
I used the book to help me prepare for a CNA test.After a three year period of not doing anything with my cna licence this book really recalled all memory.I did great in the test and really aenjoy the job that it helped me get.

Handbook of Cardiac EP by Murgatroyd
By far the best EP book written in my opionion.If you're a layperson to EP and trying to get a handle on what the EP is doing and how we all fit into the puzzle, this is the book for you.Great illustrations, tracings, and easy explanations adjacent to the pictures for better learning.

Electrophysiologic Testing
Difficult and dry reading for the layperson.The Handbook of Cardiac EP by Murgatroyd is the best EP book I have seen yet.It has wonderful illustrations matched with tracings and easy reading for people other than the EP doctor.

A lot of Helpful Information
The book was perfect for the class I took. It had great details into everything we covered. The workbook was an awesome study tool for the tests and the Michigan state exam.

Third Edition was Terrific; Going for the Newest One
I am a Nursing Assistant who was first certified 12 years ago with the Third Edition.I was impressed then how wonderfully-illustrated and easy-to-understand this text was.It made learning a new skill that much more easy.Now that I'm supervising refugee and immigrants as they learn the ropes of the profession, I am again using the book to assist in explaining the processes that are second nature to me.It will help them gain the flavor for what I am passionate about and hopefully inspire them to become nursing assistants too.I can't wait to see the newest addition!

Excellent! Best Book Available To Study For CNA Exams
This is a great book.It has questions and answers that are given on all state board exams. It does not have pictures showing you how to wash your hands correctly, weight patients, change oxygen bottles, how to make up abed with the patient in the bed, or how to carry bed linens properly, etc.These things you learned in your classroom or in the care facility whereyou took your training.It is a wonderful book that helps you to brush-upon the types of questions being asked in every state in the USA, especiallyif you have been away from your profession and wish to take the exam againfor re-qualification and certification. ... Interesting text on microbiology, fun to learn.

Well written with great pictures
This book is well written and has nicely detailed pictures of microscopic urines.I have a few complaints about how concise it is in certain sections.It was too brief when explaining the most often examined urine elements.I think that expanded explanations should have been included with bilirubin, urobilinogen, protein, etc.The explanation of the Ehrlich reaction in particular left me stumped.One or two more sentences would have made it clear.
More fun than a barrel of acne remover.
As textbooks go, this one is pretty good. I should warn you- pay close attention to every detail in the book. This book is not for the faint of heart- there is no fluff. Every detail counts, every fact is important. You won't find any extranneous words in this book. On a more upbeat note, the book is pretty self-explanatory. If your instructor doesn't do the best job instructing, ignore him/her (but don't tell them I said that) and just read the book- it does a very good job explaining things. A Must Have!
I am currently a student of Dr. Moini, and I bought this book while taking his Anatomy I class. I have continued to use it throughout the rest of my Anatomy classes, and it is still very helpful. This book is very helpful; it makes learning even the most complicated things easy. Dr. Moini's book has been an invaluable resource to me so far, and I am sure that it will be just as helpful while reviewing for the CMA exam. I highly recommend this book - it's an excellent way to study!

COTA Exam Review Book
This book was a worthy investment.Before having purchased this book I was unsure of how well I would perform on the COTA certification exam.What I liked most about the book was how each answer was provided w/an explanation of why the correct answer was correct and why the other answers were incorrect. The five practice tests really helped me to narrow down my weak areas.I feel this is a superb study guide and would highly recommend this review!

In my opinion, this is an excellent review guide.I purchased it my last quarter as a student and I am so glad I did.Nothing could have prepared me more than this book.I took all 5 practice tests and was amazed by the results.Not only does the book give the partcipant the correct answers but it also gives you the reason why the answer is true and why the other choices are incorrect.If that is not enough, it gives you the references in which you can find that information and/or additional information on that topic.This review guide was a quick and easy way to find out what areas I needed more help with and where I could find that information before taking the COTA exam.What a great investment! ...
