Hmmmm
I was disappointed by this book, and I'm still not exactly sure why. It was definitely informative, and did show several good methods for adjusting my dogs. But it assumed a lot of technical and anatomical knowledge that I'm sure the majority of potential readers does not have, and in fact even with my own fairly in-depth canine knowledge I felt uncomfortable with many of the techniques, especially the one that starts with a disclaimer about how risky it is, says "do not attempt this at home" and then goes right on to detail how to do it.
Goin' to the Dogs
This book has saved my dog's dignity on more than one occasion.There truly is nothing more gratifying than finding the trouble spot, based solely on observing my dog's behavior, and then being able to refer to this wonderful book for stretching and therapeutic techniques that allow my dog to feel wonderful, almost instantly. I have bought this book for at least 3 of my dog owning friends who swear by it.

Good for the lay person but I wouldn't recommend all
Good, thorough explanation of chiropractic in relation to dogs.Good illustrations that help you understand the mechanism of the adjustment.As a chiropractor, I appreciate the detail Dr. Kamen goes into regarding adjustments; however, the typical dog owner may not be able to identify serious medical conditions that would be aggravated by performing a chiropractic adjustment versus a simple malalignment or "subluxation" that would respond very well. Excellent source for practice of evidence-based medicine
This book offers an excellent summary of the most current evidence about causes, prognosis, treatment and rehabilitation of back problems. Back Pain:Reversing the epidemic.
The book is fascinating. Some issues discussed in this book might challenge the reader and that is the main purpose. The chapter "Back pain through history" gives an important historical perspective of the matter. "Psychologic Distress" "Beliefs about BackPain" and "Social interactions" are of enormous importancefor those who deals with "Back Care". Not detailed enough
It only show a cursory glance at TP and referred pain patterns. Good to show patients an overview, but not detailed enough to really help everyone.

This book is a MUST for the professional soft tissue worker
As the office manager for a chiropractic clinic, I know how often the Doc references this book to demonstrate trigger points to patients. This is a good general massage overview for the beginning massage student.
A very good choice for learning deep tissue therapeutics
I have been a massage instructor for a number of years on the east coast, and I have been using Mr Scheumann's book the "Balanced Body" in the college that I teach for 3 years.In order for my review to seem pertinent, I feel as though I should give my background.I not only teach advanced tissue massage and A&P at a college, I am also a CEU provider for the NCBTMB in NMT and Myofascial Release continuing education courses.
Author's perspective.
As the author of The Balanced Body I welcome constructive criticism of my ideas and writing.However, I feel obligated to respond to the review of my book by John R. Frame because his comments grossly misrepresent the philosophy and application of techniques presented in the book.His descriptions of the results of his deep tissue sessions demonstrate a profound lack of understanding of the methodology of the integrated deep tissue therapy system as described in The Balanced Body.

No Bones about it
This is the book, more than any other, that helped me set up my practice. It contains practical information about how to get new customers after opening the doors, not to mention how to advertise without being crass. If I'd bought it earlier, I would have been even more successful. Even though it says "after startup," I think reading it before startup is good.

The best advice straight from the greater trochanter
I experienced Dr. Delman's knowledge and skill in chiropractic and practice management as a patient many years before following in his footsteps. When I saw that he had written a guide book for the rest of us, I was thrilled. I own both the first and second editions. Dr. Delman explains the "how-to's" of a successful practice in a concise, understandable and enjoyable format. This is a must for any DC at any stage!

Simply Outstanding
I often shake my head in disbelief to think that many of my fellow chiropractors will shell out thousands of dollars in practice management seminars when a book such as this exists for a fraction of the cost, and in truth, is much better. Read more

No doubt, it's the best!
It's the best atlas I've ever seen, it has clear images (sometimes, I think I'm seeing a photo, not a drawing), its "boxes" with information about muscles, etc. are very well done. And its "naming" of the organs, bones, etc. it's not as confusing as Netter's. I own Sobotta and Netter and, Sobotta, for me, simply defeats Netter in every single detail. A must have if you're a medical student.

A must-have for medicine students
It is an almost flawless book. I love it... If you are really passioante about medicine and are planning or actually are studying medicine you must have it... It's a real help

Better than most!
This book has good illustrations and is written in some color. It breaks-down all of the common disrhythmias and explains much of what you need to know. Also illustrates the areas of the heart that is effected with certain types of disrhythmias. One of the better books I have found at this point. I think they should print a bigger textbook size of this book, it would be even more useful.

Great Ekg pocket!!. Very straight, not boring and easy understanding of the Ekg. Really helpful and time saving. Not a headache anymore on reading Ekg. From simple explanation to more complicated but easy to understand. Great for interns and residents.You should have it!.

You must have this book!!
Dr. Brose's "Guide to EKG Interpretation" is a resource that all physicians in training should seriously consider acquiring.It is an extremely thorough book, and its size is deceptive.You wouldn't think a small pocket-size book could pack this much information!As an illustration, I had a question on my Part II board exam about a "J wave", something I had never heard of, even after my EKG rotation and delivering a few EKG lectures.As it turns out, Dr. Brose's book addresses the J wave, while many other resources make no mention of it.Also, the material is presented in a way that is clear and very easy to follow.Full of cross-references, you can quickly gain a solid understanding of virtually any issue you'll encounter when interpreting an EKG.I believe that medical students, interns, residents, and attending physicians alike will benefit from owning this book.Certainly, it is something that medical students and interns should have in their pockets (it is not cumbersome...it's a perfect size). ... High quality anatomy text
Basic and Clinical Anatomy of the Spine, Spinal Cord, and ANS is an excellent text for both students and clinicians that specialize in the spine. As a chiropractic student, I used the first edition for my spinal anatomy class and as a National Chiropractic Board Exam review and found it to be extremely helpful.
