The revelation
I first dicovered this book while I was going to school to become a Chiropractor. It was "love at first sight"! The content of this book is very explicit and talks about all possibilities that a low backpain can be. I recommend this book over and over to whoever wants to learnmore about low back conditions. I am also using this book for a researchthat I am conducting. This is to show how much I trust it!

Mosby's anatomy
The main problem with this book is that it has quite a few typographical errors, mainly noticable when the author informs us of incorrect locations and/or functions for muscles, bones, etc.Many clear illustrations make this a good resource if you have a reliable "other" book to give you the correct information!

A must for all bodyworkers and/or anatomy students
We just found this book a month ago and we are already using it as a required text for our massage students.It is ideal for self-study as well and should be in every bodyworkers library.The information is presented isa very clear, usnderstandable format. Especially impressive is the easyblending of Eastern and Western approaches to anatomy and physiology.Thepractical applications exercises are pertinent and thought provoking. Thecolor illustrations section is well thought out and gives an unclutteredview of the subject.Overall format lends itself well to use as a singletext or as a companion with others. It's the best A and P text I've foundyet.

A must for all chiropractors
Dr. Eriksen's book is a significant contribution to the profession.Don't be misled by the title--this book is a must read for all chiropractors--not just upper cervical specialists.It provides the "intellectual ammunition" to respond to those who claim there is no scientific evidence to support subluxation.

Somebody PLEASE write a better manual muscle testing book!
I am an occupational therapy student currently taking Functional Anatomy.This is the assigned book for the course.It is EXTREMELY difficult to follow.It has ridiculously few pictures.There must be a better book out there for manual muscle testing.Our whole class (50 OTs and PTs) have complained about this book. ... it's great but alittle technical...
i LOVED reading this book, but it was a little technical at times. i am scared enough to try chiropactic treatments on my horse and this, even though it is written very clearly and interestingly, scared me a little. it made me realize that i really needed to understand what i was doing before i tried anything out!

I am aghast....
I find this text the height of irresponsibility.People who legitimately do animal chiropractic have to be licensed, and must first be either DVMs or DCs with 180+ hours of additional training, and pass rigorous testing before practicing.The very idea that laypeople are encouraged to do their own adjustments is frightening.You can't learn this from a single book! Yikes!
User - Friendly Handbook
I found the book easy to follow and understand for the layman.The author did not talk over my head.The step by step procedures made sure you were comfortable at each step before you actually performed the various adjustments.If one did not feel comfortable adjusting their own horse, at the least the book made a more informed horse owner when you talk to your chiropractor and made the whole process less mysterious.Read more

Good information, slam to defense biomechanics.
This book is a good summary of the available literature for biomechanics accident reconstruction. Where the reviewed literature is often used by defense experts, the author takes personal criticism at the defense experts for using this literature in assessing injury potential. This is done quite often to a point where it is rediculous and quite defamatory. It is obvious from this book that the author has aligned himself with the plaintiff side of low speed collision analysis. I would not recommend this book if your looking for literature on this matter which is impartial. ... Read more

A Must-Read for any Chiropractor
Manual Therapy In Children is an excellent resource for any chiropractor, whether they have a pediatric practice or not. Using both solid research and common-sense anatomical rationale to build the case for spinal care, it clearly explains the absolute need for children and pregnant women to have their spines checked. Being written by medical doctors could be a point of contention for some chiropractors, but the authors seem to keep objective and unbiased.
Medicine agrees with chiropractic?
It is not often that general medical fraternity acknowledges the importance of manual therapies involving the diagnosis, correction and philosophy of neck disorders in babies, infants and children.
