Uplifting Book
"15 Secrets" is an uplifting book for chiropractors and there are quite a few good ideas for docs to use. I think that many chiropractors develop bad habits when it comes to setting professional goals and managing time in and out of the office. Excellent Book.
This is an excellent book to help you fix your back injury if you have been in an auto accident like me. Full of useful tips, and general good advice. It's one of these self-help books that will help you tremendously dealing with the pain and suffering experienced after a personal injury. I am fond of self-help books, self-help websites and other self-help resources too, and this book is on the top of my list (others like this website http://www.settlementcentral.com) have helped me a lot on the legal side of my personal injury claim too. They even talked about chiropractic care as well as providing demand letters and other stuff useful if you have been in a car accident. This said, this is a book definitively recommended!

Sound advice, especially when you are hurting!
Last year I had a back injury that left me immobile for two months.During that time I read four back books to "empower" me with knowledge and tips for recovery.Dr. Homola's book (now with post-it-notes stuck in numerous chapters) was the most helpful.From helping to determine causes of pain, to outlining simple excercises you can do without buying expensive equipment, this book was the only one I really needed to read.It's a book I'll keep on hand as a helpful resource for years to come.

Very Informative.
I found this book very informative and have reccomended it to several others. When my herniated disk was causing lots of pain, I was desperate to get some relief. I just happened to find a reference to the author somewhere on the internet and even actually called him. He was very gracious to talk to me, shared some advice and kept me from making a very expensive decision concerning chiropractic care for my entire family. His book is straightforward and understandable. Good review for boards
I found this book to be pretty good review for Part III.It helped with summarizing all the stuff I learned in chiropractic school.It gave good reviews of the clinical impression or diagnosis, physical examination, neuro examination, etc.I also used the following which was just awesome for showing me the type of questions to be prepared for on the Part III and Part IV chiropractic Boards: A great book, but not for Part IV
I agree that this book is a great asset, and would recommend it to anyone in Chiropractic school, having previously stipulated that it will not prepare you for part IV.The book does indeed review Part III is great detail, but the part four review - with the exception some medical stuff, abdominal exam, thorax, etc. and some others, does not fully prepare you for Part IV.I found the last section on technique extremely lacking,there were no pictures, and very little on the method with which National Boards test you on (vertebral malposition listings [national listings]) since most of us were taught Gonstead (at least at Life West). Buy it, Buy it, Buy it!
Buy it, study it, and then take some time to relax while the rest of your class tries to learn that which you've mastered. This text allows you to optimize your time studying. No more wasted hours organizing; it is alreadydone for you. Great book. Worth much more than the price tag. I can'tendorse it enough. Stephen Barrett, editor, makes his money by discrediting everything that is not made or owned by a drug company.Sort of like a Republican writing a book on the Democratic Party... or a Democrat "exposing" the corruption of the Republican Party.
the truth hurts...
This book is a must read.The fact that this book has caused so many other reviewers to respond with short and harsh replies questioning the motives of Dr. Homola is evidence that so many of the public are blinded by the lies of the majority of the chiropractic profession.I suppose I would be offended too if I had been taken in by this profession. There are many cases where spinal manipulation is appropriate but it is never beneficial as a lifelong treatment.Thank you Dr. Homola for dedicating yourself to giving back some credibility to a profession that has its small niche in medicine but has somehow been corrupted.

Chiropractic based on experience not heresy
It is amazing that someone could be published with so little proven group study and with such outdated information. I have experienced the wonderful effects of corrective chiropractic treatment and am a believer due to personal experience. Cervical manipulations on my severely damaged cervical spine caused rapid recovery of hearing, vision and speech. Although I am now in a maintenance period I still believe that my chiropractic adjustments are what keep me running - I choose to be well and not base my health on SYMPTOMS which are mainly misleading. How many people do you know that have dropped dead due to a sudden heart attack, rare cancer, a stroke and never had one warning sign or symptom? What a load of bosh this book is and I feel I actually got stupider reading it. ... Read more
