Must read for any chiropractor or chiropractic student
This book is great for helping the chiropractor learn what it takes to be successful in practice.I also think that being really grounded in chiropractic philosophy will help tremendously.I recommend the book "Chiropractic First" to help to really get what chiropratic is all about as far as philosophy, which should help in being successful in practice.Anyway, Up and Running is a great book because it will show you how to stay successful and how to think prosperity and not poverty and gives you tips on success in practice.For chiropractic students taking the boards, study the following books. National Board of Chiropractic Part IV Study Guide: Key Review Questions and Answers, National Board of Chiropractic Part III Study Guide: Key Review Questions and Answers with Explanations.These study guides helped me focus on what was important for the boards exams.It definitely is a must buy because it makes you get used to board type questions--less surprises on the test.Once again Up and Running excellent for showing the chiropractor wanting to open a practice on how to succeed and to never give up.

Simple Advice For New Doctors!
This book would be extremely helpful to any chiropractor looking to start a new office. The information contained in the text is practical material that many new chiropractors might not be aware of. I enjoyed the book very much!

Student's Review
I'm currently a student, and when my professor showed me this book I was hooked. It's great for it's simplicity. I can pay 10 bucks for a huge chart that shows me every single muscle in the body all at once. But I need more than that. I need every single muscle's origin, action, insertion and innervations. So I rushed home to order a copy of this book. Knowing that it'll be a great help with my studies!

Clarity of display
Atlas of Skeletal muscles is a basic book on anatomy which clearly illustrates each of the skeletal muscles in line drawing form.Bones to which the muscles attach are highlighted so you can clearly see point of origin and insertion.Small text section beneath or beside each illustration demonstrates Origin, Insertion, Action and connecting nerve. I have used this book constantly since I bought it for my human anatomy dissection lab a few years ago.The clarity it provides by giving each muscle its own illustration is unparalleled.The summary pages are excellent as well.I recommend this to my fellow yoga teachers and students, and use it frequently in the classes I teach. ... The collaboration between the P.T. and the D.O. is a beautiful thing. This is a nice reference book for the new student to the learned practitioner on the thoracic spine etc. This part of the spine is generally greatly under evaulated and under treated.This user freindly text should aide in more effective treatment. ... The physiology and neurobiology of muscle pain
A worthwhile text for those interested in the pathophysiology and neurobiology of muscle pain.Not intended for the casual practitioner.The sections on the pharmacologic treatment of muscle pain are fairly redundant.

Not so shabby
Like everyone else said these cards do not have all the details. all Q&A, but I loved them! they help pick out little things you might not have picked up and help pick out the more important stuff. Also, i loved the fact that there was a lot of room on the backs of each card. They were great to annotate and write down the pathophz and DDX and sx.

A Standard For The Chiropractic Profession
Dr. Reizer's book, "Chiropractic Made Simple" tells it like it is. The author doesn't dance around the many sensitive issues which surround the chiropractic profession. He dives right into the controversial items and gives laypersons an opportunity to learn the truth about chiropractic philosophy. Very few authors have the courage to write about many of the topics covered in this text. Some will be shocked when they read this book while others will be "turned off" by the author's claims that allopathic medicine has conspired through the years to eliminate chiropractic from the healthcare market. Recently I became a patient at a chiropractor's office and upon the conclusion of my first visit the doctor handed me a book entitled, "Chiropractic Made Simple." Later that same day when I returned home I began and eventuallyfinished reading the entire book. I was surprised how simple and logical the chiropractic approach to healthcare was. "Chiropractic Made Simple" is a great book that examines thesubluxation philosophy of chiropractic healthcare. The author's theme that a doctor's ability to work with the laws of nature and not against them in order to best help patients is a very logical point. The Best Textbook on Whiplash Ever
A Tour de Force!Is there going to be a Third Edition?Let us hope so,given Arthur Croft's ability to consume, digest and make palatable to usthe most recent research on the topic of whiplash.Fortunately, Dr. Croftis still writing (see his articles in SPINE with co-author Dr. MichaelFreeman), and still at the forefront of the profession.As a chiropracticphysician, his contributions are all the more important in the medicalworld, which often borrows from alternative health without crediting it. Not so with Croft, who is credited in medical circles worldwide.Athoroughly readable, well-referenced and enjoyable textbook which will openyour mind to a syndrome (group of injuries, really) so misunderstood. If you are a physician who treats whiplash patients, or an attorney trying to understand the hows and whys, this book is the absolute BEST there is.'Nuff Said.

A must for every chiropractor
This book is a wonderful contribution to chiropractic.The photographs are superb.Anyone who needs evidence of the devastating effects of vertebral subluxations should read this book.

Excellent for the anatomist
An excellent illustration of cervical postural distortions and the related manifestations which compromise the spinal cord and brain stem.Clearly illustrates the muscles which need to be released to improve spinal health.

Great pictures light on new insights
This is a great visual atlas of what chiropractors believe is the "cause" of what ails the masses.It is difficult to argue with the author when it comes to what a subluxation is since he has assembledphotographs to support his point.However, one is left without any newinsight into what exactly this subluxation "thing" is based onthe text.Pictures are nice, but what about an analysis? ... Essential item for people with back pain.
This book was recommended to me by a senior physiotherapist at my local public hospital.It contains an effective set of excercises and advice as to how to prevent and treat back pain.

This book changed my life...really.
I had severe back pain for most of my teenage years, but when I got to college my lower back hurt so much that it made it almost impossible for me to sit through lectures.The pain was so bad that I could hardly move from bed on many days.
Simple and effective
I had a severe disc herniation at L5-S1.My physical therapist recommended this book.In fact, I have had therapists tell me they are "McKenzie trained."The book is simple to follow and truly helps relieve my sciatic nerve pain.My therapist recommended doing the exercises every 2 hours if I have acute pain.I credit physical therapy and this book with saving me from surgery. ... Appreciation of Aging
I worked on the production of this book. It had already been written when it came to me. Its presentation is very straightforward. Reading the highlighted clinical notes gives a good overview. The illustrations say a 1000 words, and the photos are of attractive older people who are aging successfully. Jackie Bougie and Paige Morgenthal really care about aging people.
