Don't Buy It
This book is really a disappointment. The information is scattered and not up to date. The pages in this book are made out of poor quality material which makes it vulnerable to be ripped. The other disappointment is the tables and figures. When you have a title saying handbook, you would except that it would be simplified with tables and figures to reinforce the information, however; this book has very few figures and tables. Even the tables are squashed and have missing information regarding the topic it covers. If you do not believe me, look inside the sample on Amazon website. Correct the vague symptoms that your doctor hasn't helped
With the huge number of additives, preservatives, herbicides, pesticides and other cides present in our foods, it's no wonder we are getting fatter and sicker and not losing weight on yo yo diets. Dr. B's book helped me lose weight and quit asthma medicines and my doctor couldn't/did't help. Ifyou have vague symptoms that don't get better, you might consider foodintolerances & read this book.

A must-have home reference for any family or individual!

This is life changing information for the chronically ill.

Well written introduction to Nutrition Therapy
Although this book was copyrighted ten years ago (1996), the information about nutrition and nutrition therapy is still applicable. This is a good introductory book and an easy read as well. I like this book because it is formatted like a textbook: it has keyterms and objectives at the start of the chapter. The topics are discussed individually under a heading and topics are outlined clearly which saves reading time. The book has tables, figures, photos, case studies, and displays (highlighted and useful information about a topic, for example, "safety guidelines for microwave cooking", etc. At the end of each chapter, it has keys to practical application, key ideas, and study-discussion questions.

A Pleasant, Painless Experience

Excellent refference book
I found this book to be filled with information on the nutritional needs of both cats and dogs.As A pet owner I always read the pet food lables.Till I read this book I was unaware of how misleading those lables can be.I have come away from this book with a much better understanding of the nutritional needs of my pets and how to feed them to promote health and longevity.I also have gained some insight into how to spot signs of nutritional deficiencies in my pets.Surpisingly two of the writers of this book appear to work for Iams, a rather large and well known pet food company.This book was far from biased for the pet food industry nor did it appear to promote any pet food.This book has changed my view of the pet food industry and I will be be much more cautious in the future.I am revamping my pets' diets today! I feel this book is a must for anyone who owns a cat or a dog.

This book was profoundly disappointing.I expected information on feeding my animals food "fit for human consumption" and from my kitchen (versus store bought).I realized shortly into the book that it was written by experts at Iams Company, a maker of pet food.Their recommendations are based on meeting the Association of American Feed Control Officials (AAFCO) guidelines -a committee developed by the pet food industry when they decided they did not care for the requirements recommended by the Committee of Animal Nutrition of the National Research Council (NRC) of the National Academy of Science.

An Important Addition to Everyone's Nutritional Library
I purchased Dr. Wright's Guide for my wife who had heard about it being discussed. My wife and I are both adequately learned in orthomolecular medicine (mega-vitamins by another term), so we do have a reasonable background in nutrition. dr wright's guide to healing with nutrition

This is a great book, and one that every woman over 40 should have.It is very easy to read and isn't written with a lot of complicated terms.I think what I liked best was the book's common sense approach and giving the reader the information needed to make the important decision - pills or no pills.
