5-0 out of 5 stars Needs to be heard! This Works!
I bought this book for a buddy who isn't online.Hard working carpenter, family man and a good person in his late 50'sLikely picked up hep in the military with a blood transfusion, he'll never know. He's been through the Pegasus treatment, it hadn't worked but had about broken them financially, as well as being very hard on him physically. They wanted him to do it again. His blood work indicated he was actually worse than before he did it.
5-0 out of 5 stars This stuff really DOES work.
A reviewer on this page takes issue with the fact that Hepa-Pro SELLS these herbs. Get real. Do you expect them to give them away? I, for one, am greatful to have a place to purchase these formulations; formulations that have worked for liver ailments in the Far East for THOUSANDS OF YEARS. The only proof I need is that, like the other reviewers here (and countless others) I am in much better health since I began the protocols about 17 months ago. Normalized enzymes, viral-load 1/3 of what it was and symptoms disappeared (I didn't even know why I felt the way I did). As for FDA approval, it will never happen. Why? There is no money in herbs. The pharmaceutical companies will lobby to block their approval. They would much rather SELL THEIR drugs - which HAVE NOT been shown to work. Anyone with HCV should at least check out this info with an open mind.

2-0 out of 5 stars A Blatant Commercial for the HepaPro Corporation
If you are impressed by the fact that this protocal is recommeded by Andrew Weil, go read about him some. This protocal may work, but there is no evidence for it. The author presents a book full of statements, unverified case studies, and an unsupported study alleging 75 individuals with no FDA or governmental association for the study. The herbal regimen recommended, using the supplies from the recommended HepaPro corporation costs about [money] per month including discounts, less shipping. After about a year of this, if your Hep C LFTs are normalized, the maintenance regimen is about [money] permonth - forever. ... 3-0 out of 5 stars The Little Herb Encyclopedia...okay, not the greatest.
There are many herbs not in the book.Explanations are a bit on the hazy side.No ideas on how to use the herbs...BUT...it's great for what it does have, tells of many things each herb can be used for.Just wish it were more complete!
5-0 out of 5 stars Should be called an herb bible
Every time you read it, you find something you didn't see before.5-0 out of 5 stars WONDERFUL REFERENCE OF INDIVIDUAL HERBS
This book is absolutely the best one I have seen when it comes to being thorough for the different uses of each herb.It has listings of primary and secondary conditions affected by the herbs, after a write up of usually close to a page on each one.In the write up it elaborates on many of the uses, and often gives historical uses.I find it a vital reference guide and refer to it VERY often!!!Is easy to understand, contains warnings about the herbs that need it, and is really the most informative guide to herbal usage.Read more

1-0 out of 5 stars Save your cash ...
Its like so often in "real" life - some dude has an insight and doesn't get it that he does not need to bent science and common sense in order to construct a new world-view (or, in this case almost a religion with the inventor as the savior) around it. I have used "tachyon" products - they work for selected issues (mostly muscle and tendon problems). Truth is, nobody knows on what principle this stuff works - but rather than being honest and admitting it a hair-raising new world-view is invented with quotes from "real" science to support it not only out of context but also WRONG. The latest I have heard is that Mr. Wagner, the top honcho, has now become a professor in his self-made university (no joke, check his webiste!). I was personaly witnessof Wagner's dishonesty on more than one occasion and can only suggest to stay away from him. This book contains no valuable information whatsoever.

1-0 out of 5 stars If you're avoiding the essentials, you'll try anything.
Drink only pure, unfluorided water, eat only whole fresh raw fruits and vegetables, exercise every day, get some morning or late afternoon sun everyday, and get enough sleep and rest. If this doesn't help, -then- start looking for the wierdo cures if you must, but nothing will undo the problems of the Modern Western Lifestyle exceptno longer living the MWL. I think Gabe must have been fasting a little too long when he wrote this book. Fantasy. To those who testify here on behalf of Tachyon products: I've happened upon a few 'Tachyonized' items, and gave them a try...nothing happened. Your results are the exception, not the rule.

1-0 out of 5 stars High-Tech Pet Rock
I think a tachyon exists, and I am excited about the idea, but there is no evidence of a patent on Tachyonization Process, and no evicende that the aura pictures are even real.If the technology worked, there would be a patent for it, the FDA would make them do trials, and it would take a year to get it onto shelves and into hospitals. Here's a pet rock that's an antenna for Tachyonized energy--someone's got to do the proof. I do not recommend Tachyonized products--especially the 15 drops of Tachyonized Water (from sugar). ... Read more

5-0 out of 5 stars Great Knowledge One Drop at a Time
This book is just as important as the "Emotional Intelligence" book by Daniel Goleman. It helps the reader understand the major ingredient of our body, water, and why it should also be the main ingredient of what we take in. While Goleman discusses the wholesome meanings behind the consanguineous electrical synapses of neurons, Steve Meyerowitz reveals how water is used by the body, the hydroelectric generator, to power our brains.
5-0 out of 5 stars I learned a lot!
My eyes were really opened to the problem of dehydration. I thuroughly enjoyed Steve's straight forward writing. I have always heard to drink a lot of water everyday, but I never knew why. Now I know exactly why. How enjoyable it is to read truth presented in a way that tells me that the writer believes what he's writing about with all his heart. I am telling everyone to drink their water, and to read this book, too! Thank you, Steve, for caring enough to share such valuable information ... Read more

3-0 out of 5 stars Poorly written
I've used this book in some of my Reiki training classes, and though the information is good, it is badly in need of editing. I've also learned, since reading some of Frank Arjava Petter's books, that Mitchell's history of Reiki is not entirely accurate.5-0 out of 5 stars One of the best books on Reiki
One of the better books on the healing methods of traditional Reiki, written by Master-Teacher Karyn Mitchell, Ph.D., N.D., of the HawayoTakata-Iris Ichitaro lineage. The author is a Doctor of Naturopathy, apsychologist, and certified teacher of hypnotherapy, as well as a ReikiPractitioner and Master-Teacher of Usui Shiki Ryoho Reiki and Tera MaiReiki.5-0 out of 5 stars Invaluable to those on the path!
This book is a wonderful read as well as a reference for various meditations and Reiki knowledge. I bought it when it first came out and still keep it handy near my Reiki table. Karyn inspired me to move ahead onmy path to healing others through Reiki. I also am blessed to have metKaryn and have experienced Reiki treatments though her, before buying thisbook. 5-0 out of 5 stars Best book i ever read
This is an perl. I put everything on place. I had been around seeking, done meditation, gone regularly to yoga/chanting. When i read this book, i took a quantesprang.... i now are alot more aware of what going on in me, just after the understanding of this book, and practis it. Get it.

5-0 out of 5 stars ayurvedic psychology
This is an EXCELLENT book. Abstract and very deep truths are lucidly conveyed without sacrificing intricacy or impact. If you are interested in psychology, spirituality, or Ayurveda, this is a wonderful, unique book. Dr. Frawley is extremely thorough and brings much integrity to his work. This book may be a bit much for some, but those truly interested in furthering their awareness will find many treasures in these pages. If you are looking for an intro to Ayurveda, start with something else, like Dr. Frawley's "Yoga and Ayurveda."

3-0 out of 5 stars A bit less enthusiastic
I'm somewhat less excited than the other readers of this fine book. It's a nice introduction to ayurvedic concepts, but it's a bit general and broad--and I'm far from being an expert.Ultimately, it just doesn't seem very useful. But, of course, anything by David F. is going to be well written and informative. ... 5-0 out of 5 stars An eye opener to the Way through Taoist methods
This book is nothing short of spectacular, and this is because it motivates to start doing some of what Daniel Reid. explains. Reid, a Westerner living in Asia since the 70's, comes with Western scientific explanations (where possible; modern science isn't yet developed enough to understand and acknowledge nature of some things) of why Taoists do things the way they do.
5-0 out of 5 stars Inspirational Introduction to Chinese Health
I happened across this book in a bookstore and bought it on a whim. I was not before interested in Taoism, but fairly open minded. THIS IS THE BEST, MOST INSPIRATIONAL BOOK I HAVE READ IN YEARS. I don't want to go too over the top or I'll lose my credibility, but this book quite simply has changed my life (ok, that's over the top). If you enjoy cooking with fresh ingredients, the book gives great advice about food combining and which ingredients are most healthful. Reid also gives a few recipes at the back of the book that he considers "healing" recipes. The recipe for Hunan chicken was worth the cost of the book. I have been cooking for a decade and that recipe is the most delicious dish I've ever made. I really can't say enough. I am less interested in the sections on Chee-gung, but they are still useful as a way of understanding the importance of quieter, less strenuous stretching/activity. I bought this book 6 months ago, but I would say that I pick it up to read sections at least once a week. I have lost 15 pounds, am full of energy and feel more positive and refreshed than I have since I was 21.

5-0 out of 5 stars Start Here For Understanding and Detail
There are thousands of books published about Chinese Medicine, but none come close to this one for readability, enjoyment, clarity, and detail. While I don't agree with every single interpretation that Reid makes, I find that I am constantly referring my patients and students to this book.Read more

5-0 out of 5 stars Best acupoints reference around
This is a great reference for anyone who wants to study the main acupoints. The pictures are great and wonderful. This is great for massage therapist or anyone interested in learning the energy meridian points. i wish the creators had an electronic version so that we can practice finding the points and seeing the flow of chi. They have this on their Qpuncture 2 cdrom, however, not everyone needs all the info on accupuncture needling. The only drawback is that the index format isn't sturdy. It can't be a portable study guide as the papers can easily tear if you flip through the pages too fast or from being uncareful. You can take the time to study it though. it's very organized with high quality visual pictures, info of where point location and how to put needles as well as when to use each point. Cool thing is that you see surounding bones, muscles, tendons, sinews, picture comparison to location of other points. Emphasis of the Qdex is on finding the location by having visual of surrounding anatomy parts. Get this if your serious about learning acupoints and get Qpuncture II cdrom if your serious about accupuncture. This product really goes above a 5 star. only complaint is sturdiness. would of been better if it were a hardback or paperback book reference which i hope will be considered in the next edition.

4-0 out of 5 stars cool study guide
This Qdex is great in most aspects or learning the basics. the pictures are 3 dimensional and you can see where the points are. The only complaint i have is that it's thin in it's index format. You can really flip through the qdex. you have to flip through it slowly so that the pages won't tear. It would of been cool if there were an electronic version of this so that you can practice finding points with a touch screen or see the flow of the meridians. They have the qpuncture software, however, that one goes so much more in depth then the qdex which is find for students to learn the points, especially those that just want to learn points for accupressure. having it as a flashcard format might be cool too so you can carry a few around to study. The qdex is not sturdy enough to be portable. It won't last long because of it's lack of studiness. It would of been better for the creators to make a book format. Would of given it a 5 but it won't last long as the pages can easily tear. ... Read more

5-0 out of 5 stars Great night time book!
This is very nice bed time reading that makes you want to stay awake and read on to the next entry. I love the different angles for each Torah portion which gives the feeling of a very good Torah discussion. All the insightful commentary in this book brings out the beauty of the Torah. I recommend this book to anyone who is interested in learning more about Judaism and anyone who wants add more insight to their weekly Torah study.

5-0 out of 5 stars I don't ordinarily comment on what another reader says, but...
I was stunned by Mr. Hinkle's criticism that this book is "Judeacentric."Well, a Rabbi writing about a book that is central to our religion - what did he expect? If he wants a balanced viewpoint, he should read a comparable book by an academic scholar of religion. I would never dream of criticizing a Christian scholar for writing from a Christian standpoint, a Buddhist writing from a Buddhist standpoint, etc.Allow we Jews the same courtesy, Mr. Hinkle.

3-0 out of 5 stars Insights into contemporary Jewish theology
As a Christian, the Old Testament, including the Torah, is part of my heritage. I purchased this book to glean more interpretive insights into these pivotal five books from someone who did not interpret them through the lens of Christianity, but from a pure Jewish perspective, in order to broaden my horizons. While gleaning much of worth, the book is so Judeaocentric that I felt more like an eavesdropper than an engaged reader. I found it interesting that Christians haven't cornered the market on guilt-mongering, because there is plenty of that here, directed toward the more religiously lax Jews. Until an enterprising rabbi can write an exposition on the Torah for a general (not just Jewish) readership, this book will have to fit the bill. ... Read more

5-0 out of 5 stars Bypassing Bypass
A very cogent, scholarly, current and relevant book. It helped me to make a critical decision to not undergo bypass surgery as recommended by my doctors. If you are forced to make the same decision, you must read this book before you decide.

5-0 out of 5 stars Learning the truth
In 1974 as a senior at Kansas State College, finishing up my degree in Biology/Chemistry I chose for my senior research project "Cadmium poisoning in Blue Green Algae". In this study I learned, first hand, the value EDTA can have on living systems. Plant mitochondria and animal mitochondria operate in exactly the same way, producing energy for living systems. It happens that in the most fundamental "engine" of our bodies, the Krebs Cycle, living systems, both plant and animal, are vulnerable to heavy metal poisoning.
5-0 out of 5 stars A MUST READ
This book is about the Chelation Therapy prcoess, but even more so, it is about how our bodies process elements from what we eat, and how we live our life and how the body processes substances, especially all the toxins that we comsume without even knowing it. There is alot of good statistical and medical information. And, why don't the vascular and cardiac specialists recommend this treatment in the cases where it could be very appropriate and life saving (as in the case of my mother which Chelation did save her from leg amputation!)?This book goes into some of the possible political reasons on the hush hush and widespread misconceptions about chelation practice. It is definiely a MUST READ. ... 5-0 out of 5 stars Great for Newbies
With so many books written for advanced HIV and AIDS, this one stands alone. It is the perfect resource for someone who is recently infected. It also is a great resource for others, but this is the only book I re-read and refer to time and time again.I even met Dr. Kaiser for a consultation, and he offered pratical advice that focuses on overall health.I see a difference already, and I'm still med free and doing great! If you have or know someone with HIV - this is a MUST have.If you know someone who recently discovered their HIV status or who recently became infected, read this book ASAP and bring it to your HIV specialist right away.

5-0 out of 5 stars My New Bible
This book has caused me to look at my HIV infection much differently.Unlike many HIV/AIDS "experts" out there, Dr. Kaiser does not advocate any one way to treat HIV.His two-pronged approach.. Natural & Herbal remedies and when needed, retrovirals, makes sense even to those of us who are new to this whole thing. For example, Dr. Kaiser recommends testing for any intestinal parasites or abnormalities BEFORE initiating drug therapy. Many times parasites are present, and the drugs irritate them causing much discomfort.Doctors take the person off that regimen and switch them to a new one therby eliminating one possible combination that can be used in the future.Having knowledge of the presence of a parasite BEFORE starting the drugs allows a doctor to treat thus eliminating possible "side effects".The nutritional information in this book is also very helpful.I read this book twice- The second time I took LOTS of notes and wrote down many questions to ask my doctor should the need arise. This book is worth many times what I spent on it....

5-0 out of 5 stars Combining Mainstream and Natural HIV Treatment Approaches
The book has many specific practical suggestions. And readers will appreciate the effort that has gone into making them easy to understand and apply.Read more

1-0 out of 5 stars disappointed
I purchased this book as a refresher for past training and hoping to find some new ideas. A lot of this book relates to more European spa equipment, including Kneipp baths, and includes treatments like 'put on cold wet socks and wait until they are warm'.

4-0 out of 5 stars Osteopath specific
This is a well written, clear book, but as a massage therapist I found there was a steep learning curve for osteopathic theory and jargon. It took a lot of time to read through to find out that the techniques used were actually very similar to ones I had already learnt, just with a much bigger physiological theory base behind them. Also, it is coming from the perspective of osteo/chiro where apparently they always tend to do manipulations, not massage, so a lot of time is spent on the apparently revolutionary viewpoint that working on muscles helps pain and dysfunction. Duh!
5-0 out of 5 stars MET's Simplified
What a fantastic book! I am a massage therapist in Australia and wish I had known about this book whilst I was in training. The content is written in a way that makes it very easy to understand. I have also found techniques that work much better than the ones I was taught in class. Well done Leon!

5-0 out of 5 stars An Excellent Tool
This book is an excellent resource and the techniques within are commonly used within the physical therapy arena.MET, although not a panacea, is a valuable tool that should be included within a comprehensive treatment plan for numerous neuromusculoskeletal conditions. To the layperson; this isn't a book to be bought for self-treatment nor for trying out on family members.Seek advice only from a qualified physician (MD, DO) and then, if the physician deems outpatient therapy is an option for your care, inquire with your physical therapist about muscle energy techniques as part of your treatment plan. ...
