disaster!
i have never recieved this item ...the service is a total disaster....i was charged on my credit card and never got a thing!!!!!!

Most used textbook during my residencies!
This was an invaluable book that I only glanced at a few times during dental school, but during both my hospital based-general practice residency and pediatric residency was my constant guide.It provides both medical and dental management for most encountered problems that patients present with and has lots of great quick reference tables!

Great source!
This book is wonderful. The first few chapters especially, taught me so much about the anatomy and mechanics of the TMJ. This book is a great addition to a dentist's library!

Good but overpriced
I believe this bood does a very good job in explaining the functional aspects of occlusion and the TM joint.My only concern is that for the price, I would expect a book with color photographs and maybe even a CD-rom.That being said, I think the information and organization is great.

Something for everyone!
This book is an enormous help and reference to me whenever I have to do the family's teeth (I find it saves money - my wife does the haircuts), though there are some issues around acute temporomandibular disorders and chronic pain management that I do not feel are fully addressed.I fully agree with the reviewer from Columbia. ... It's Da Bomb Baby
This is the only text I use for path anymore.Keep the others around for reference, but this is your main source.Lots of good prescriptions in the back.Great organization.Cuts out alot of the padding found in other texts.Don't be fooled by the slim profile, its jam packed with good and USEFUL info.

Very well organized for the student, resident, or practictioner.
I am a U.S. Army oral and maxillofacial surgeon and have enjoyed using this book since its first edition in dental school.Dr. Neville taught at my school and he and the other authors are passionate about their work.The book is comprehensive and well organized to help dentists and physicians care for their patients.There are certainly other great books to consider buying additionally, but this is a must have for a basic collection of textbooks.I refer to it often in my practice.

This book is very easy to use and is detailed yet not too detailed. All the information I have read so far has been very relevant and easy to read.

Good reference
This is a good reference book for those NOT specializing in treatment of oral and facial pathologies.I strongly recommend another book called Oral and Maxillofacial Pathology: A Rationale for Dioagnosis and Treatment by Marx and Stern because it is replete with excellent photographs, illustrations, and discusses a disease from its pathogenesis to treatment phase thoroughly. (I own this book as well as the one I recommended.)

A pathology instructor from CA
While good in intentions and accurate in information presented, the book lacks clear and concise order and becomes very confusing for the begining pathology student. It also focuses too much on obscure conditions while ignoring more common ones. Very disappointing.

Excellent book for the undergraduate dental student.
I would like to see a more complete version of this book written for the professionals.It provides a good review of the topic although at times lacking in depth.Highly recommended for the dental student.
