Must Have Text
This is a must have book for those who actually care to learn about implant dentistry from one of the leading figures in the field.Each chapter is well written and complete.You can access each chapter if you seek out specific information, or you can read the entire text front cover to last page.
Gospel of Carl
For quite a few years this remains the most comprehensive and enjoyable book in my implant library.

Everything you need to know
I have been a practicing dentist for 29 years and restoring implants since 1991. I am in the process of becoming board certified to now place my own fixtures.Misch does a fantastic job of bringing into view a number of treatment modalities and what the potential pitfalls can be if each particular step is not followed.Much better than the text book that the school is using.Anyone that is considering restoring and or placing fixtures and intends to get predictable esthetic and functional results needs to read this book. ... Comprehensive & Authoritative
Fonseca's 7-Volume Oral & Maxillofacial Surgery set is an excellent reference for any OMF resident or practicing surgeon.This set covers the full scope of modern OMFS practice.

THE trauma set to own
Don't bother with the 7-volume set by the same author. It covers too many subjects in not enough detail. THIS is THE trauma set to own for the practicing OMF surgeon and residents. There is hardly a question not answered within these large texts. Surgical anatomy is reviewed, the pictures are excellent, it is well written, and it is current.It is a book that you should acquire as one of your first titles while an OMF resident. Useful for ENT and Plastics, as well, but really covers the discipline of OMFS trauma nicely.

Best book and DVD for my course
I will be soon training to administer local anesthesia in the dental office where I work as a periodontal co-therapist. This is the book that is required and with the DVD it is perfect for studying. I would recommend this for any dental hygienist in this type of program.

Still the one for clinical use of local anesthesia!
The fourth edition now has second color for ease of reading.The technique portion has been expanded to include supplemental ones.Also expanded are the local and systemic complications.Questions concerning LA are also useful for both students and dental professionals.Very useful refernce text for my CE courses, as well when needing a refernce chairside when I have difficulities. ... Full of Must Know Clinical Vignettes
This is a great book.It has a unique question and answer format that keeps you reading as opposed to traditional textbooks that are quite dry.This format also makes it easy to pick up and learn "high-yield" facts about a specific topic.It's a great resource for review before going into the clinics.This won't be a book that just collects dust on your bookshelf.

This book was well-planned from the outset.Three of the most highly respected authors from the US, Great Britain, and Germany bring treatment philosophies together in a manner that pays great attention to pictoral demonstration.A comprehensive book dealing with current approaches to cranio-maxillofacial trauma has been long overdue.Of particular mention here is the respect to which these authors have given to reconstruction of the soft-tissue component of injury, including facial nerve injury.The book is well-written in general.The treatment concepts reflect current practice standard, including the use of modern imaging and case preparation techniques.The color illustrations are well chosen throughout.It is highly recommended

Harald Blue Tooth strikes again!
