Look no further to master arrhythmia recognition
Arrhythmia recognition is the toughest part of EKG interpretation. Most books that teach it do so by illustrating each arrhythmia with a strip or two, usually using ideal examples. This approach leaves the reader ill prepared to recognize the variations that crop up in practice. The philosophy of this book is "you can't really know an arrhythmia unless you see it over and over".

Very useful
If you have lot of time to read, yes, this book is a MUST. But if you have 40 exams plus practices plus meetings plus, plus, plus.....Kuby is a good option. Anyway, never trust only in a single book.

Harrowing but beautiful
Tayman's account of the leper colony on Molokai and its history is fascinating and brilliantly written.He clearly shows us the various characters involved over a century of "medical segregation" as he calls it. All in all many scholars have come to the conclusion that the isolation of the lepers prevented the further progress of the disease in Hawaii.The poor planning by the Board of Health made the victim's suffering more acute in the beginning of their isolation and the effects of this have lived on in the hearts of the Hawaiian people.

Great miniseries material
I would have never believed I would more than skim this book when I began it;what a surprise!It was like the most incredible miniseries imaginable. Unbelievable true stories of heroism and cruelty and larger than life characters.The author has a way of making you want to keep turning pages.Best book I've read in a long time.

It Works!
After reading all the 5 star reviews for the predecessor (Pain Free) to this book," I checked it out at the library to see if the program really worked. The program sounded to good to be true, but the volume of 5 star reviews really made me want to try it out. After about a week and a half on the program, I no longer had bad arthritus pain in my wrist, and was able to get off the glucosamine. Glucosamine worked for me, but it is expensive. Since doing the exercises, my shoulder pain isalso much less severe.
Excellent resource-Poor binding
The book is an incredible resource for women. It gives a new paradigm for viewing our bodies and for believing in the possibility of health. We are well designed, we just need to use our bodies according to the design!

Great for advance EP staff and EP Fellows
This is a great book for those who work in EP and are at an advanced level.It is also good for Cardiololgy fellowing who are interested in EP, or who are in an EP Fellowship program.

AMAZING
To put it simply this book is the BEST cardiology book for any medical student wanting to really learn and understand the complex topics that can come up in the field.It breaks down all the topics in simple format and gives you the physiology before each chapter.Not to mention it has all the cardiac pharmacology that you will need to know now, for the boards and then some.

Another worthless book!
Another ECG book with terrible illustrations of ECG rhythms that are hard to read. They are in black & white and fuzzy! This book is also over-priced! This is also another ECG book that is witten like a childrens book! The only good part of this book is that it has flash-cards on ECG rhthyms and cardiology meds. Please don't waste your money!

Required Reference for Pediatric Practitioners
Still the best resource on birth defects & syndromes, now in full color (and a pretty new blue cover).OMIM on the NIH website is also outstanding, but not the easiest to navigate (google it to find).

Every doctor that sees newborns and kids needs one
As a family practice physician this book was not part of the required reading for us.We had textbooks we were provided and the only time I ran across this text was when I rotated with a genetics specialist that counseled daily on children with syndroms and malformations.I ran across just enough situations like this in the 6 years of family medicine that I ordered one for me - not only is a great reference book, but humbling to read sections from - its not so amazing that there are such a dizzying number of malformations and syndromes that can go wrong in human development - it is amazing that it usually works perfectly.This book will keep a lot of perspective in view for docs like me that face barrages of complains about colds, zits, and back pains.

Superb Resource
This is the best book about congenital malformations available for general pediatricians. It is highly accessible and fairly easy to use. It really helps one put together a differential diagnosis for children with dysmorphic features. The price makes it a bargain that should be in every general pediatric clinic.Read more

The Complete Guide to Yeast

Help, finally!
This book has been a lifesaver for me!After 7 years of suffering from a myriad of symptoms, going from doctor to doctor, with no resolution to my problems, I finally got some relief after reading this book. Little did I know, all my symptoms were related to one root cause: systemic candidiasis.After doing some research on the internet, I was led to this book.I had seen several recommendations for it, and excellent reviews. This book will help you to confirm what is happening in your body, and give specific steps you can take to start treating yourself to feel better.I have been putting Dr. Crook's suggestions into practice for a little over a month now and I feel so much better!So far, I have only been able to use homeopathic remedies - no prescription drugs - and have noted a marked improvement in my general health and well-being. Good place to start
I agree, to a point, with the reviewers who didn't find this book to have all the answers, BUT like another reviewer pointed out, this should be just one of the books in your library. I have suffered from candida for more than 20 years. If the reviewer who claimed that candida was invented by the author had suffered from it, then (s)he would know that it is very real and can be, for some people, debilitating. I suggest you check this book out of the library before you buy it. If you are well versed in this disease, then you might not want to buy it... but if you are just starting your research, you'll find a lot of answers in here. ... Read more
