Good book, but a little unrealistic at times
Overall, I really enjoyed this book.I've actually implemented much of the advice given, such as the All Natural Diet.This book has a lot of really good, useful information, and I was very enlightened on the chapters about fasting.I plan to try my first fast in the next week or so.

Hate Math you'll love this book!

Acupressure's Potent Points
Excellent self help guide. I did check with my own doctor per the instructions in the book.Found it a great help in between visits, with excellent guidelines. This book is also great if you are going on vacation, and have an existing problem which could bother you while away

The formatting is its downfall
I needed a quick reference for the accupressure points that are relevant to various ailments, but this book drowns the essential usefulness of accupressure with entirely too many words.It tries to present theory and anecdotes in addition to a listing of accupressure points, and ends up being unbearably repetitive.While each treatment has a step-by-step accompanied by photos and lengthy descriptions, a better format would have been to present a short list of the most effective points followed by secondary points for each treatment.As it is, a person who is trying to perform the steps would be too busy reading, rather than concentrating on the points themselves.

Medical Physics Bible!
I find this an absolutely fantastic book. It really is the bible of medical physics for radiotherapy. I had the second edition until it fell apart, and just purchased this new third edition. It explains virtually every single thing you need to know in therapy- from a theoretical point of view.
Much better books available
When I started working in Radiation Therapy, somebody recommended this book to me to learn the theoretical aspects. I am also required to teach a resident lecture out of this book. The more I use it, the less I like it. While the book may contain information on all basic and necessary topics, the way they are presented is less than optimal.

Brilliant Book
I purchased this book recently. I have found the information in it simply amazing. Within a few days I have noticed an overall sense of well being and improvement to my health. And no I am not connected to the author in any way. It is just a very good book.

Life-enhancing and practical
I've had this wonderful book for over 10 years, but only really began to apply the Internal Exercises after a trip to China. I saw a Qi Gong demonstration there and was very impressed, especially by the fact that the Qi Gong master looked all of 25 years old (I'm sure he was in his 40's at least). I began to practice Dr Chang's set of exercises faithfully on returning from the trip and have experienced increased energy, suppleness, better sleep, and clarity of mind. I was able to abandon my use of prescription antihistamines for allergies and now have no symptoms whatever. My nightly headaches, which were requiring nightly Tylenol, have also resolved. My endurance in sports, particularly alpine skiing, has increased without requiring increased preparatory workouts; and if I am diligent at doing the exercises after a workout, I experience no stiffness or soreness (something I'm starting to appreciate as an aging Baby Boomer!). My son bought me this book about 6 months ago and since then I have been in exellent health through doing the exersises. In my present job I do not have much time to exersise so I use this book to help me maintain a healthy mind and body. I would recommend this book to anyone. ... Read more

Tarascon Pockect Pharmacopoeia
This book is the best source of consultation for Pharmacists, because it gives a complete an easy information about every thing that we need in our daily duties.

Excellent.
Despite having epocrates on my PDA, I still found this book to be very useful. I had used the small version for years, throughout medical school, but during my internship I purchased the larger version with the plastic cover.Having used both, I would say I actually prefer the larger one as the extra information it contains is useful and pertinent, especially for those taking care of inpatients. Its nice to have some extra info regarding side effects, dosage forms, generic vs brand, etc.
Tarascon's Deluxe Lab coat pharmacopeia
This is the third Tarascon's book I've had and I must say they are fantastic little reference books to have in your lab coat.This one is bigger than the pocket pharm, but it still fits in your side lab coat pocket. And this one comes with a plastic cover. The only improvement I would suggest is that Tarascon's adds contraindications. Alkalize or Die
I'm so "set back" by the assembly of this book, Alkalize or Die. I cannot comprehend what harm we are doing to ourselves by not being more aware of the pH in our bodies.Why are we not receiving this information from our doctors?Because they would be out of business if we knew?Everyone needs to change RIGHT NOW, for their health's sake.

The most important change you can make in your diet!
My wife and I are raw vegans and do a great deal of research to optimize our diets.We found, however, that though we were eating wonderful things, our pH was still low.A tip from another author then led us to Dr. Baroody's book.We discovered that low stomach acidity was our problem--we weren't digesting all the good things we were eating!

A lot of text but many unanswered questions
I take no issue with Christian Ratsch. He is a prolific writer and someone with influence in the world of ethnobotany. However, I want to write a valuable and honest review here. This book is enormous. I know of no other book worth buying that contains as many plants as this one (in relation to a mind enhancing context). In this regard, the book is highly valuable. There are also plenty of photos which give it an artistic quality.
All in one place.
Save time and research.This book is huge and packed.Has information on just about any natural drug source legal or not.This book is so big and packed full of information it would be hard to ever get tired of thumbing through this book.

Excellent Research
This is a well researched book (really well) and uses easy to understand language. It was a bit confusing to me in the beginning since he used some flashback type story telling. I was hoping to pull some powerful statistics out of this book, but was only to get some weak ones. This a a great book to have if you like having evidence that the U.S. Government is no saviour.

Dangerous Doses
This is an outstanding book every American should read.This book was recommended to me by a Vice President of a large mail order pharmacy corporation.I am the Assistant Vice President for Supply Chain Pharmacy Operations of a large healthcare system.As such I am responsible for making our Supply Chain Pharmacy Operations more safe and efficient.This book has been an eye opener for me.I have already quoted it several times in meetings and on conference calls.We all need to be engaged in making our healthcare supply chain as safe and efficient as possible.This is a non-fiction book, but it reads like a fiction one because its so unbelievable.It could very easily be made into a movie and be very successful in that media.
