Good Reference
I'm a 4th year medical student, and found this book extremely helpful during my Blood Bank rotation. It is really good at explaining the concepts behind the technical procedures.

Use this book as a doorstop
This book is not for the beginer in blood banking.It is disjointed, confusing, difficult to comprehend, and does not flow in a logical manner.It was written by several authors, including Harmening.This probably accounts for the confusing flow.May be helpful to experienced blood bankers, but if you are a begining student trying to fathom the many intricacies of blood banking, this book will make you want to tear your hair out.Without a doubt, the worst text book I have ever read and I have a master's degreee and 1.5 years toward my PhD.Avoid this book like the plague unless you have prior knowledge or experience.It will turn you off blood banking forever.I give it a D for effort (a poor and poorly edited effort). ... Like having your own interview consultant
Ms. Alexander provides a great source of help with her PharmRepSelect book and CDs. I read a couple of books on the subject and found the PharmRepSelect Interview Insight discs to be tremendously helpful. I combined several books in mymission of getting a job in this field. For under a hundred dollars, I feel that I got the best info available. It's like hiring an interview consultant; hours and hours of help. I listened to mock interviews and practiced my techniques. I learned how to phrase my answers more precisely and sound very professional, which was the key in doing well on my interviews. I recommend this unique package to everyone interviewing for a sales job. Five stars!

Great "patter" revitalizer!!!

Very Helpful
Very helpful book and very well documented. The only thing I wish is that it gave more specific sales advice for when you start the job.

The most thorough resource!
I used this book until it was worn and post it marked it ad naseum. 8 months later- I have the job of my dreams.I read several other books (including Pharmrepselect) this one was by far the best and most comprehensive.Reading its companion book (Professional Pharmaceutical Selling) didn't seem to add much insight.I would reccommend David Currier's "Be Brief, Be Bright, Be Gone" instead.Put BBB and Insider's Guide together, add your hard work and determination, and you will get there eventually!

The next best thing to Molnar' s text itself
I just used this book to study for and pass the pediatric rehab boards. It is an outstanding summary of Molnar's Pediatric Rehab text since the Cuccurrulo pediatric chapter summary is written by Molnar's co-author Alexander. The peds rehab chapter is required reading for my rehab residents on their pediatric rehab clerkship. It is nice to finally have some well-organized comprehensive review books out there.

Well Worth Every Penny for PM&R Board Review!
I did not take the written exam in the typical manner secondary to childbearing and scheduling delays.Needless to say, my clinical exposure to many of the tested areas was limited since completion of residency.Consequently, I found it necessary to review and study prior to the exam.I found this book helpful in structuring my study time.It's subject contect was also complete.If there was an area in which the review book did not make since to me, I merely supplemented with standard tests.Otherwise, the review book was a sufficient resource for preparation.I would highly recommend it as I believe that I partly owe my passing score to the authors!

Good for boards only
I found this book helpful studying for boards.It is a very large field to cover and the author stresses board relevant material with an "open book" icon next to them.

This book is AWESOME.I am a Stanford medical student and found this book to be THE MOST VALUABLE BOOK I HAVE BOUGHT!Why?Several reasons!First, this book is organized differently.Normally, books are organized by system (renal, cardio, pulmonary) and later offer disease descriptions.This book offers a more realistic approach as each chapter explores a symptom and offers multiple diagnosis (this is so valuable or as we say in med school - MONEY!!!) Secondly, this book has end-of-chapter tables with differential diagnoses to help you recall.So if you're seeing a patient with back pain - look at the chart: cauda equine syndrome, back pain, AAA and what test to specifically to distinguish amongst them).Lastly, the book has amazing pictures, is easy to read, colorful, and not at all boring.Trust me: this is a book you will want to read from cover to cover!

Good to use with Comprehensive pharmacy review
It's definitely helpful but only after you've read the essential reference books. It may not offer any explanations but going through it will give the student preparing for FPGEE a chance to test adequacy of knowledge.

Helpful but not sufficeint .
This book contains questions and answers only. No explaination for answers is given. I found this book useful to get idea about the kind of questions that will be asked in the FPGEE. I recommend that you combine this bookwith Comprehensive Pharmacy Review.

Great but Needs a Revision
The book is great in that it covers such a wide variety of topics and provides basic knowledge that are essential for a pharmacist, while it explains each topic concisely. It helps me a lot. However, the topics are not logically aligned. On the one hand, similar descriptions appear in more than one chapter, on the other hand, some chapters contain multiple, rather unrelated topics. Sometimes the book is difficult to understand: some drug names, units (mesh for injection purification), formulae (clearance), and seemingly contradicting explanations. The book would become even more helpful if its contents are reshuffled,some alleged typos and editing errors are resolved, and an index is added. Also, the book would shine if it acquires more detailed knowledge of drug metabolism.

Good for FPGEE but not for NAPLEX
this book is very hepful for taking FPGEE but it have very less role in Naplex.I will tell you all with the my experiance i have studied APHA pharamcy review for naplex whic is the best book.If any body taking naplex please also do Kaptest online which also have lot of patient profiles which actually come for your naplex.KAPLAN review is just helpful after you have studied some theory from some books like APHA.

Prevent Backaches!
Gelb writes very clearly, with good illustrations describing F. M. Alexander's technique for good body use. Many actors, singers, and dancers use this technique, and many people who suffer from joint andmuscle disabilities can benefit from this book. Gelb's personal experiences help the reader to understand how to benefit from the techniques and exercises he describes.

The clearest book on AT out there
If you are studying the Alexander Technique - whether just beginning or a more advanced student - this book is a Must!Easy to read and digest, it should be on every teacher's list.However, it is important to note that the Alexander Technique can not be learned by reading books alone.Reading this book is not a way to learn the technique.But it is a terrific supplement to private individual lessons with a good teacher!
