Have the older version.
Used this in medical school. Excellent resource. In my time google and yahoo were not around, so this was the quick source. now that [...] is around, not as necessary, but still valuable. There is a pediatric version as well.
Great reference through the years
I have been using various iterations of Fitzpatrick throughout my 12 years of practice as a Family Nurse Practitioner. The organization, wealth of information, excellent photography (it really looks like what a provider sees in a person's skin!) all make it an invaluable reference. I am pleased to see the addition of more photography involving people of color, as upwards of 50% of the US population is now minority.

Great reference
My preference overall in terms of derm texts is Habif, mostly due to organization, but this one comes in a close second.Lots of great pics and simple straightforward explanations (sometimes a little too simple).Also probably a great book for laypeople with some knowledge of medical terminology. ... THE derm book
There are several excellent dermatology texts in the market, but I believe this is the one to get, due to quality of pictures and organization.If you only have money for one, get this one!

The book rules...plain and simple
I am a busy FP doc at a military base and I see a considerable amount of dermatologic complaints.I try to take care of most of it myself (since we have no dermatologist on staff) and find this book indispensable to my daily practice.I open it practically every day.For those of you who think the 'baby' Habif is enough, it's not!Trust me, I tried to scrape by with the 'baby' version for years before I bit the bullet and bought it.The sections on acne, eczema, dermatophytosis, and rosacea are outstanding.

A good basic dermatology book
Habif is a classic. The pictures are among the best any dermatology textbook can have. Perhaps only Rassner has comparable pictures. But Habif has much more ones. The texts are well written and directed to easily and quick dermatology reference, on a basic point of view. I think it is a good book for dermatology knowledge introduction. If you want to go further on dermatology estudies, this a good firt step ,before more profound books, like fitzpatrick or Rook. ... Read more

EXCELLENT NEW EDITION
Forget the hype about Bolognia, this is the best book on clinical dermatology out there today. Written by three of the top clinical dermatologists in the country, there is a unity of writing and approach and and a consistent high quality level that you don't get with texts with hundreds of co-authors (many of whom are in training themselves). There is also a refreshing aspect that this book is written for practicing dermatologists and avoids much of the incomprehensibility of so-called academic dermatology texts. Andrews is much improved over the last edition with color photos and the input from Dirk Elston, one of the most prolific dermatogists in the country. This is the one book EVERY dermatologist should have on his desk.

Very practical approach,simple,excellent illustrations

Excellent resource
This text is a fantastic resource for the practitioner new to the treatment of venous diseases.It is an indispensible tool in setting up a phlebology practice.The appendices of office practice tools (i.e.-eval forms, consents, manufacturers) was a wonderful suprise.Bravo!

The best book avialable for the subject at this time.
Dr. Goldman covers the topic from A-Z. He cover both the smaller (spider) and larger verins in his book which is not a large volume despite its price. He provides the young physician with a concise, orderly manner with whihc to approach the problems in his practice, the tools, medications, methodology and and the forms both for record keeping and legal implications. It is a "turn key" program that if done with attention to detail will serve the new pracitcioner of this medical discipline well, whether dermatologist or plastic surgeon ... Read more

No question that it works.
I found this book after googling a bunch of different things, and came across these reviews.Lots of good reviews, a few negative ones.Well, I noticed that all the negative ones were either people who hadn't actually tried it or people who didn't really stick with it.You can't rate a book negatively if you don't follow the program.
Excellent book!!!
I highly recommend this book, it works and it's the BEST.Even though I hadn't followed most of the recommendations like the enemas and baths it still worked for me just due to the diet change.What I would suggest also is to try to personalize it more, by finding out what works for you with diet.. mostly concerning laxatives, as for me most of them perscribed didnt' work (I guess my system is quite hard) so I explored around and found out that for me things like fresh papaya, dry figs, dates, eggs, and moloukhia (a green spinach like plant popular in the middle east) also other foods that are cleansing and remove toxins are good to increase, then decreasing the starches and adding more fruits, veggies and such foods into the diet really works.
WHAT A HORRIBLE TRICK!
For years now, my best friend and ex-boyfriend of almost four years has been suffering from severe psorasis, as well as psoriatic arthritis.He had been through several doctors and has tried multiple kinds of treatments, ranging from with or without a combination of photolight therapy, sun and water therapy, topical treatments, and systemics (Methotrexate, Soriatane, etc).A few months ago, I discovered Dr. Pagano's book and shared this information with him.After having read the book, he decided to really dedicate himself to the diet and everything Dr. Pagano had stated in the book, such as the monthly visits to Dr. Pagano, the olive oil, the flaxseed oil pills, the peanut oil baths, the 50/50 combination of the peanut oil and olive oil, etc.For a few weeks only, it worked wonderfully.It seemed to be working for him, but after those few weeks, he broke out.Dr. Pagano had stated that he would have a break out before it would get better because the "toxins" were trying to leave the body, but after his psoriasis and psoriatic arthritis kept getting worse, Dr. Pagano finally told him that he would have to go back on phototherapy and systemics (Methotrexate).For a little over two months, because of this diet, he had the worst break out ever.He literally broke out all over his body, even on his face and neck!I truly believe that this diet would work for those that are only suffering from mild to moderate psoriasis, but for those suffering from severe psoriasis, I suggest that you beware!If you see yourself breaking out too much and for too long of a period, maybe you should try a different treatment. ... This is, in my opinion THE BOOK for a pathologist dealing with dermatopathology. The writing is clear and crisp and I appreciate the morphologically-oriented classifications, instead of the more common admixture of ethiologic, morphologic and topographic attempts of classification, many of the categories meaning little to the morphologist. ... Great Derm Book!
This is a wonderful dermatology book! I just got it and can't put it down. Very comprehensive, clear, well-organized. Lots of pictures. Covers more material than Fitzpatrick, and much more clearly. As an internist, this book is perfect for me.

Easy to reference, easy to help treat
I'm a Physician Assistant student working in a busy military hospital.This book is absolutely wonderful if you're looking for a quick diagnosis and treatment to common skin diseases.It's easy to reference, there are diagrams showing lesion distribution as well as beautiful pictures of common presentations, and an easy-to-reference treatment section.This won't cover everything, and you'll have to use a more comprehensive derm book for "zebras", but on the whole it's an excellent reference book in a general care environment. ... Very useful dermatopathology book
Wonderfull book, it has a summary table for each entity very useful for fast look, a lot of color images of great cuality and a text concise, precise and exact.

A comprehensive dermatopathology reference; easy to read.
It took quite some time for me to choose a dermatopatholgy reference. Most of my fellow pathology residents have been using Lever's book, mainlybecause that's what we have available.I decided to go out on a limb andtry this brand new book.I'm quite glad I did.This book is a pleasure touse.It is well written and beautifully illustrated.My only criticism isthat the index and table of contents could be more helpful.By the way, mycolleagues are also glad I purchased this book.I hardly get to see itanymore! ... Too thin
This is a huge book but spends no more then 1 page on any topic. In my opinion the authors only have financial audit experience and little understanding of IT controls. This book shows the failure of the 'integrated auditor' as the authors are tyring to be IT auditors with little IT experience. They touch on some very good points in a few instances and, in general, the book is decent. The authors do not know much outside of the CISA, IIA and financial based certifications as they seem to think that the ISSA (Information Systems Security Assoc.) is sponsored by ISC2/CISSP's (it is not). Overall, I have not been impressed with this book.

Great resource
Not having much experience in the IT audit field, this book was a great resource and was easy to understand.

Recommended Reading
I am a person with very little knowledge and experience in the IT audit field.Reading this book was fun and explained difficult concepts that require much experience in simple terms.

They Work!
These exercises work. No question about it - they really work. I'm 40 and was starting to notice the old age droop in my cheek and eye muscles as well as the characteristic bulge from untoned tongue muscles. Within one week of doing these exercises I noticed significant improvement. The cheek droop line is tightening up and receding. The muscles of my eyes and forehead have tightened up and lifted again. What's more, unlike with Carol Maggio's book, these exercises gave me a way to do these exercises without creating new wrinkles - a big reason why I stopped the exercises from Maggio's book.
Wonderful book, usable instructions!
In this book I found what I was looking for. It has excellent pictures, clear instructions, explanation of how our face ages, specific exercises for the different areas of the face, and the goal of each exercise. I especially like using my "will" to get my face muscles to move. Although I don't do the exercises consistently every day, I see progress anyway. I was able to tighten my cheek muscles so that my cheek dimple, which had sort of slid down toward my jaw, is now higher on my face. Cute! There are some exercises that I can do at my desk at work, which I like. Great book for those who want to know WHY the exercise works.
