Trigger point mania
I love this book I have had a chance to use it a lot in my practice. It has tons of great information, be prepared a long read it is a medical manual so to speak and it can be a little on the long side, but if your up for it, It is a fantastic asset...

Excellent text
I found the information quite thorough.It is written in a user-friendly way, easy to understand.I bought this book because it was listed as a reference for the chiropractic practice part 2 exam.This book helped me with the locations of the trigger points.Sometimes the chiro boards like to ask questions on trigger points.However, Leonardi's book: National Board of Chiropractic Part II Study Guide: Key Review Questions and Answers and National Board of Chiropractic Part III Study Guide: Key Review Questions and Answers with Explanations are excellent for board exam preparation.These three books are needed for the part II and Part III of the boards.

The ultimate in drug-free pain relief!
As a Clinical Massage Therapist at a hospital, I use these books almost daily.In fact, I just ordered my second set. . . Strong, current review of general surgery
This is THE book for a senior surgical resident to purchase. It is updated every 3 years, and reflects advances in techniques, preoperative and postoperative evaluation, and clinical management decision making for all of the commonly encountered problems in general surgery. The authors do not merely rehash the previous edition, but present the information in a clear, concise, and enjoyable text with good tables and images. It has been very helpful to me in my Chief year, and I expect it to help me pass my boards. A MUST HAVE!!!

A must for every surgical resident and surgeon. Great for studying for the oral boards these are safe and accepted answers.

Great Review for Surgical Examinations
Those who are goinig to sit the general surgery examinations would find this book a great assistance. The book is well written and easy to read and understand. Mediocre
Many of the chapters just talk about protocols
Excellent Rehab Book
This book is an excellent resource for any Certified Athletic Trainer, experienced or entry-level. Several rehab protocols are outlined for many common injuries seen in athletics as well as the general population. There is a general review of anatomy as well that proves helpful.

Excellent resource for working as a professional with children
I have been using this in my therapy practice and have found it very resourceful. It has wonderful suggestions for the therapist to untilize in assisting childrento express and resolve their issues when in situations they are unable to resolve through the expressions of words. They can express through play and in cognitve ways and it works!!!

Can't live without it
This is a great book with most of the surgical approaches that I've come in contact with. It combines concise descriptions of the anatomy with graphics in a nice, easy-to-access way.
Great but very expensive book
I believe all hospital libraries should hold a copy of this excellent book. The price is rather steep for an individual and therein lies my only crib against this book. I had to fork over almost a month's pay to get my copy. On to what I think of the content.
An excellent update to an already invaluable text
Hoppenfeld's new edition incorporates critical subjects such as arthroscopic approaches to the shoulder and knee which have become required skills of today's orthopaedic surgeon. Toprehabilitation book on the market
As a Licensed acupuncturist focusing on muskuloskeletal pain, I am always looking for pragmatic, integrative data to increase the wellbeing of my patients and their resiliency to injury. Dr. Liebenson did an excellent job in combining top of the line clinical pearls that are ready to melt into one's practice essentially the next day. The DVD is great in adding visual cues to enhance the learning experience acquired throughout the textbook. Excellent work.

This is one of the most comprehensive texts for rehabilitation of the spine I have seen in over 10 years of practice. As a physical therapist, I've learned that spine rehabilitation requires a broad knowledge of techniques, since every spine patient is different. Psychiatric Rehabilitation
In reviewing this book I found it to be interesting and educational at the same time. It is not dry reading for a subject that could well be that. I will be able to use this book in my clinical practice when I graduate this summer.

Superb introduction to psychosocial rehabilitation.Introduces the experiece of mental illness from the client's perspecitive, covers symptoms and etiology of severe and persistent mental illness as well as treatment strategies.The book is simply written using case illustrations.I have used it for new staff at our community mental health clinic for the past 2 years.The book was popular - so popular that it disappeared and I am replacing it with several copies, one for each team. PNF in Practice

Review on Children with Disabilities

This reference book covers developmental, clinical, educational, family, and intervention issues of concern to teachers working with children with disabilities. Written by doctors, it thoroughly explores issues than impact child development starting from conception through adulthood. Factors that can cause disabilities, current methods of treatment, commonly used medications, and guidelines for intervention are addressed. Solid Introductory Book
Batshaw's Children with Disabilities is a "must have" book for anyone who works with children with disabilities...almost.Written by doctors for those in the medical professional most of the recommendedinterventions come from a decidedly medical model.It is, on the otherhand, fairly comprehensive with sections dealing with genetics,development, developmental disabilities, and interventions with the bulk ofthe book dealing with specific disabilities from the obscure (Fragile XSyndrome) to the more common (AD/HD).I have not found Appendix A or Bparticularly useful (Glossary and Syndromes of Inborn Errors of Metabolism)but turn to Appendix C and D frequently (Commonly Used Medication andResources for Children with Disabilities) Finally, while the book offers anice mix of theory and application, I would like to see (maybe in a 5thEdition?) the incorporation of some of the so-called "new brainresearch."Nevertheless, I still turn to this book several times eachmonth. ... Wonderfull Resourse
This is a wonderful resourse that can be used by anyone in the massage profession.It is valuable not only for the therapist but also for the client.Wonderful referances and great layout.

Excellent, easy to use quick reference of trigger points and referred pain.
The trigger point spiral bound charts have the same diagrams of trigger points and referred pain patterns as the Travell & Simons 2 volume set, Myofascial Pain and Dysfunction: The Trigger Point Manual -- Volumes 1 and 2.They are grouped by major body sections for quick review and have references to the more detailed information in the manuals for ease in looking up additional information.They can be set up in an examination/treatment room to use for explanations to a client or for quick reference by the practioner.No need to fumble through pages of the manuals to find trigger points or referred pain locations, just turn to the chart page for the specific section of the body that the pain is located in and there is the necessary information.Because of their portability these are a great reference for therapists who travel off sight or instructors teaching in assorted locations. An excellent compliment to the 2 volume set.

The next best thing to Molnar' s text itself
I just used this book to study for and pass the pediatric rehab boards. It is an outstanding summary of Molnar's Pediatric Rehab text since the Cuccurrulo pediatric chapter summary is written by Molnar's co-author Alexander. The peds rehab chapter is required reading for my rehab residents on their pediatric rehab clerkship. It is nice to finally have some well-organized comprehensive review books out there.

Well Worth Every Penny for PM&R Board Review!
I did not take the written exam in the typical manner secondary to childbearing and scheduling delays.Needless to say, my clinical exposure to many of the tested areas was limited since completion of residency.Consequently, I found it necessary to review and study prior to the exam.I found this book helpful in structuring my study time.It's subject contect was also complete.If there was an area in which the review book did not make since to me, I merely supplemented with standard tests.Otherwise, the review book was a sufficient resource for preparation.I would highly recommend it as I believe that I partly owe my passing score to the authors!

Good for boards only
I found this book helpful studying for boards.It is a very large field to cover and the author stresses board relevant material with an "open book" icon next to them.

Great introduction to Applied Kinesiology
Robert Frost's AK manual is lean and to the point.
